There are currently two versions of the RM55-01 available on the market. The following article provides a structural comparison of the two versions, with the key differences highlighted below:

  1. The top-tier version uses a Parmigiani movement that has been modified through sandblasting and finishing. Key point: The Parmigiani movement and the RM movement are both manufactured by the Vaucher movement factory, their structures are the same, so most of the parts can be used directly. The most important  parts are the balance, mainspring box, and gearing system, but they need to be repainted to change the color (knowledge: the Vaucher factory here is not a rep movement factory; it is a high-end movement manufacturer that produces movements for gen watches. As for rep on the market that claim to use Vaucher movements, they merely borrow the factory’s name). The movement in the Advanced version does not include any parts sourced from genuine watches.

  2. The top-tier version uses gen hands.

  3. The movement components in the top-tier version have been chamfered and finished according to the specifications of gen.
